Anonymous Launches DDoS Campaign As World Leaders Congregate at G20 Summit

In honor of this years G20 summit hosted in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Anonymous hackers have been making their presence/feelings known in their own unique way. Beginning last night, different hackers across Europe and South America have launched a targeted DDoS campaign against the Argentinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  the Centro Costa Sigluero – the site of this years summit – as well as Argentina’s national airport. While the websites belonging to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and convention center have since been restored, as of the evening of December 1st 2018, aa2000.com.ar still remains inaccessible to the public.

The attacks are essentially being carried out in protest of all the Wars and political conflicts currently afflicting the world in 2018, calling on world leaders to do more to put an end to the madness. On a side note, if you think for one second that these sort of DDoS campaigns aren’t influential, I invite you to search for the hashtag #G20Summit2018 – in which you will find that this Anonymous operation/campaign is literally the worlds top search result.
