How to clean your bathroom ecologically

So why not take the opportunity to devote yourself to house cleaning in a completely ecological way?

Perhaps you’ve often found yourself in front of the detergent shelves in the supermarket, undecided about your choice, but did you know that you already have the best product for cleaning your bathroom at home? Or at least you can make it out of stuff you have on hand.
In this way you not only use absolutely natural products that do not pollute the environment and are not harmful to your health, but you also get a perfect cleaning of your home.

Here you can find out in detail how to clean the different areas of the bathroom ecologically and efficiently.

Baking soda, king of hygiene

Baking soda is an excellent ally, especially for toilet hygiene. Sprinkle a good amount of it in the toilet and leave it on for half an hour. Then add 100 grams of baking soda and 100 grams of coarse salt to the toilet water and clean with a toilet brush. Not only will you get a disinfecting effect, but you will also find that annoying stains that often accumulate in the toilet will disappear.

Remove dirt from tiles

If there’s one spot in the house that’s difficult to clean, it’s undoubtedly the tile grout. One way to avoid fatigue is to groom them frequently, without waiting for them to turn black. For an effective and totally ecological cleansing, prepare a cream with lukewarm water, hydrogen peroxide and a tablespoon of baking soda. Spread the mixture on the grout of the bathroom tiles and leave it on for about ten minutes. The action of the hydrogen peroxide on the baking soda creates bubbles from which any dirt residue will come out. Remove them and your bathroom grout will be like new.

Say goodbye to limescale in the bathroom

One of the biggest enemies of cleanliness in the bathroom is limestone: constant contact with water encourages the formation of this whitish patina. An easy way to remove residue is to make a mixture of hot water and white vinegar. Put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray the liquid directly onto the limescale on the bathroom fixtures. Leave on for about 30 minutes and wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth. Limestone will magically disappear.

Sparkling glasses and mirrors

Vinegar and hot water are also the secret ingredients for cleaning glass and mirrors. Mix 100 milliliters of vinegar and 500 milliliters of water and spray the liquid onto the surface to be cleaned. The vinegar removes all traces of dirt and thoroughly disinfects your bathroom windows. After cleaning the surface with a sponge, use newspaper to remove wet stains.

Parquet? Clean it with beer and beeswax

If you’ve decided on parquet for your bathroom, here’s a surefire way to polish it. Boil a liter of beer with a tablespoon of sugar and two teaspoons of beeswax, which you can buy at herbal stores. Allow the mixture to evaporate and cool, spread on the floor and wipe with a soft cloth. On the contrary, if you want to remove a few extra scratches, moisten a soft woolen cloth with a few drops of olive oil and run it directly over the parquet. It will shine again.
