Crenotherapy is an unconventional therapy that combines treatments with thermal water. Unlike hydrotherapy, which heals with ordinary water, this therapy uses natural mineral water as a healing agent. For therapeutic purposes, it is based on the exploitation of the physical or chemical properties that are particularly diffused by these waters. Social Security reimbursed practice essentially requires a doctor’s prescription. This spring water spa treatment lasts 2 weeks and 4 days. It is mainly carried out in a spa approved by a specialist doctor. Once the thermal treatments have been prescribed, the spa practitioner can benefit from a multidisciplinary medical follow-up.
