Netflix is back to what they do best: rom-coms! The newest one they’re adding to their lineup is Wedding Season. The film features one of the best romance tropes there is…fake dating! And you know what happens when two people fake date? They are probably going to catch feelings for each other.
Wedding Season follows Asha and Ravi. Asha’s mother continues to set her up on dates behind her back and one of them happens to be with Ravi. Asha refuses to go on the date until her mother tells her that if she goes on this one date and goes to all the weddings during the season, she will finally get off her back.
Asha gives in and that leads to the date with Ravi where they make their deal. They will pretend to date during the wedding season to get their parents off their backs about finding a partner. But what happens when things start to get too real and they catch feelings for each other??
While we likely know how this story ends, it doesn’t make it any less fun to watch. Who doesn’t love a love story?

Wedding Season release time on Netflix
Wedding Season will be dropping on Netflix on Thursday, Aug 4, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET. So if you’re on the East Coast, you’re going to have to stay up quite late if you want to watch the rom-com right when it hits the streaming service. But if you’re on the West Coast, you only have to stay up until midnight.
And even if you do stay up late, Wedding Season is only around 90 minutes long. The perfect length for a rom-com (or any film for that matter).
